Job Title: Accounting Manager
Reports to: Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt
Primary responsibilities include monthly financial statement preparation for residential properties, analysis of monthly debt schedules, and review of general ledger detail. Will report and assist the Controller in accomplishing other goals such as annual work paper preparation, property replacement reserve processing, accounts payable issues, and other projects as they arise.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong proficiency in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including General Accepted Accounting Principles is necessary. Knowledge of financial accounting software applications and of federal and state financial regulations preferred. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift more than 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Driving is rarely required for essential duties and responsibilities. Driving may be required to visit local banks, run errands, and make trips to properties. If driving is required, a current valid driver’s license, current valid automobile insurance, and a good driving record are required.
An employee will be indoors most of the time, but will have some exposure to the outdoors in all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
